The Goatboy
Perth, Scotland-based band The Goatboy describe themselves as “4 piece grunge rock … influenced by the likes of Mudhoney, Nirvana, Silverchair, The Vines.” Those influences show through on their 2018 EPÂ It’s Not Regret, It’s Worst Than That and on their new song, “The Lookout Tower,” which was just released this weekend and will be part of their forthcoming EP long live the goatboy.
I worked college radio in the early 1990s, and the rotation featured a solid diet of grunge and alternative rock from the time. Listening to The Goatboy captures the feel of those experiences. If you’re looking for new music that takes you back to the early 1990s, The Goatboy should do the trick.
