A alternative rock band that started with punk rock roots is alive and well making music under the new flag Stalemate. The website says, “Led by frontman Jason Kaminski, bassist Phil Martin, and drummer Rob Schuster the band was originally formed in 2001 under the name Tooth Fuzz. They have built up a regional fan base by playing around the area with such acts as The Starting Line, The Ataris, and Madcap. In 2005 the band played the local stage at the Cleveland Warped Tour.”
My personal favorite song is “Best Excuse” and I highly recommend going out to see the band play live. According to the website, “Their latest effort, Silhouettes & Syllables, displays this path towards personal freedom of musical expression.”
