Jack and Diane

30 years ago “Jack and Diane” by John Cougar Mellencamp was released. MTV was in its infancy and this was one of the first videos that seemed to be played every hour on the hour. The picture-in-picture hand claps produced throughout the video seemed high tech and made you want to clap along. The song peaked at number one in October of 1982.
