Shreveport, Louisiana-born musician Brenton Wood made four appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, all between 1967 and 1968. His biggest hit was his only Top 10 hit, “Gimme Little Sign,” which exactly 50 years ago climbed to a peak position of number 9.
