DEF: The Jets “Curiosity”

Minneapolis-based band The Jets hit the Top 40 on Billboard‘s R&B singles chart with each of their first eight songs to make the chart. That run included all six of their songs that would also reach the Top 40 on the Hot 100 chart. The group’s Hot 100 run, though, wouldn’t start until their second song from their R&B run. The band’s very first R&B hit, “Curiosity,” never appeared on the Hot 100, but on this date in 1985, it climbed to a peak position of number 8 on the R&B chart. “Curiosity” by The Jets is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
