DEF: Survivor “Eye of the Tiger”

Chicago-based band Survivor made eighteen appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, all in the 1980s, with eight of those songs hitting the Top 40 and five reaching the Top 10. The band’s biggest hit is their only number one hit — “Eye of the Tiger” from the film Rocky III. Exactly 35 years ago, “Eye of the Tiger” climbed to top of the chart for a six-week reign.
