DEF: Smokey Robinson “Being with You”

In his solo career after leaving The Miracles in 1972, Detroit-born singer Smokey Robinson has appeared on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart 25 times, with nine of those songs reaching the Top 40 and four hitting the Top 10. His biggest hit was “Being with You,” which exactly 35 years ago climbed to a peak position of number 2, where it would spend three weeks. “Being with You” is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
