DEF: James Taylor “Never Die Young”

Boston-born musician James Taylor became a pop music star in the 1970s, making seventeen appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, with thirteen of those songs reaching the Top 40 and five hitting the Top 10. Taylor did, though, also make four appearances on the chart in the 1980s, and on this date in 1988, the last of those four songs — “Never Die Young” — climbed to a peak position of number 80. “Never Die Young” by James Taylor is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
