DEF: Genesis “Paperlate”

In early 1984, British band Genesis hit the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart for the first time in their career when “That’s All!” peaked at number 6. Before that, the group had placed six singles in the Top 40 without reaching the Top 10. On this date in 1982, the last of those Top 40 singles before Genesis made the Top 10 — “Paperlate” — climbed to a peak position of number 32, where it would spend three weeks. Today, “Paperlate” is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
