Daily Eighties Flashback: Moving Pictures “Never”

Exactly 40 years ago today, the sountrack to the 1984 film Footloose was released. It would become one of the most popular soundtracks of the 1980s, with six songs off the album hitting the Top 40. In fact, only three songs from the soundtrack didn’t hit Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. One of these three songs provides the background for one of the film’s iconic scenes, when main character Ren dances around a warehouse. That song, “Never” by Moving Pictures, was the album’s final track.
