Aretha Franklin 1942-2018
As you’ve likely heard by now, Aretha Franklin passed away today at the age of 76. Franklin is, of course, known for her multitude of Top 40 hits spanning from the 1960s to the 1990s. Her vocal skill is notable as well, though, for the diversity of styles she could sing. In the recording above, Franklin performs a powerful rendition of “Nessun Dorma” from Giacomo Puccini’s opera Turandot.
