DEF: Wet Wet Wet “Wishing I Was Lucky”
British band Wet Wet Wet have hit the Top 10 with a multitude of songs in the United Kingdom, though they’ve never cracked the Top 40 in the U.S.  The closest they came was when their international mega-hit “Love Is All Around” peaked at number 41 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in 1994.
The band’s only other appearance on the Hot 100 came with their debut single, “Wishing I Was Lucky.” On this date back in 1988, “Wishing I Was Lucky” hit its peak position of number 58 for the first week of a two-week stay.
