DEF: Lee Ritenour “Is It You”

One of the must respected and accomplished musicians in the industry, Los Angeles-born guitarist Lee Ritenour has built much of his career working with many of the biggest names in music while also consistently releasing his own work over the past four decades. That work led Ritenour to place two of his own singles on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in the early 1980s, the most of successful of which was his only Top 40 hit, “Is It You,” which featured vocalist Eric Tagg. On this date in 1981, “Is It You” rose to a peak position of number 15, where it would spend two weeks. Today, “Is It You” is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
