Welcome Back, Kotter!

A few weeks ago, Tunesmate remembered the theme song from the megahit television show Happy Days.  Today, we recognize another television theme song from the same time period, as today marks exactly 35 years since former-Lovin’ Spoonful member John Sebastian topped Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart with “Welcome Back,” the theme song to Welcome Back, Kotter.  It spent one week at the top and was the only top 40 hit of Sebastian’s solo career.
