The Struts

The Struts were formed in 2012 and hail from Derby, England. They made their debut lead single in 2015 with “Could Have Been Me” which hit #1 on Spotify’s viral chart. Per their website, “Before they’d even put out their first album, the band opened for The Rolling Stones before a crowd of 80,000 in Paris and toured the U.S. on a string of sold-out shows.” The group is often equated to sounding like Queen and their lead singer Luke Spiller is compared to looking and sounding like Freddie Mercury. However, the Struts have their own sound and are keeping Rock alive!

The group recently released a cover of the Martha & Vandella’s 1964 classic “Dancing in the Street”. The song was covered in the 1980s by David Bowe & Mick Jagger along with Van Halen. The song is said to sound closer to the Van Halen remake more than any other of the past releases. In true style, the tune makes you want to get up and dance.

The Struts are currently on tour supporting their recent album YOUNG&DANGEROUS. Check them out!
