Music to Help Us Get Through Everything Together: Living Colour “Solace of You”

Today, the band Living Colour tweeted a message to “Keep Calm and Listen to Living Colour.” While the tweet promotes the band’s music, it’s also a testament to the power music has historically had to help people cope with anxiety, loss, and suffering. It’s a theme that’s been on my mind a lot lately as the world seeks to mitigate and persevere through the COVID-19 pandemic.

With all of that in mind, we’re starting a new feature here at Tunesmate meant to provide music that we hope helps us all get through the pandemic together. Every day, I’ll be posting a song meant to fit with that theme. Hopefully, I’ll hit the mark much more often than not.

In honor of Living Colour helping provide some of the inspiration for this, today’s choice is the song of theirs that I think works best for this new feature: “Solace of You.”
