MTV is 30
MTV (Music Television) turned 30 years old on August 1st! The channel’s first video played was the Buggles “Video Killed The Radio Star”. J.J. Jackson, Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, Martha Quinn and Alan Hunter were the new cool hip VJs! In 2008, MTV dropped the “Music Television” and plays lifestyle programming like Jersey Shore.
