Exactly 30 years ago, Van Halen’s “Jump” hit number 1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart.  The song would spend a total of five weeks at the top of the chart, and it remains the biggest hit of the band’s career.

Though “Jump” has been Van Halen’s only chart-topping hit, they have hit the Top 5 two other times, hitting number 3 in 1986 with “Why Can’t This Be Love” and number 5 in 1988 with “When It’s Love.”
