It Happened 50 Years Ago: Nancy Sinatra “These Boots Are Made For Walkin'”

Jersey City, New Jersey-born singer Nancy Sinatra, the daughter of the legendary Frank Sinatra, hit the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart four times in her career, with two of those songs reaching number one. Exactly 50 years ago, the first of those Top 10 hits turned into her first number one, as “These Boots Are Made For Walkin'” climbed to the top of the chart for a one-week reign.
