New York City-based band Blood, Sweat & Tears‘ three biggest hits came with their first three songs to appear on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, all of which reached a peak position of number 2. Exactly 50 years ago, the second of that trio of songs, “Spinning Wheel,” began its three-week run at the penultimate position.
