Guess What? Van Halen Had A Keyboard Player Live

Eddie Van Halen is a classically-trained pianist and recorded his guitar and piano parts separately for the studio albums. However, guess what? When the band played live they literally had a man behind the curtain, Alan Fitzgerald, the keyboard player from Night Ranger. In 1986, on the “Live Without a Net” Tour, Eddie played keyboards live while Sammy Hagar played the guitar solos but that only lasted once. After this tour Fitzgerald was hired to play keys live. I always thought it was a prerecorded keyboard track but I stand corrected.
