Guess What? Chicago Wasn’t Chicago On Their First Album

Guess What? Chicago was the Chicago Transit Authority on their first album. It spawned the hits, “Questions 67 and 68 / I’m a Man”, “Beginnings”, and “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?”. Per Wikipedia, “While the band toured the album, legal action was threatened by the actual Chicago Transit Authority, forcing the group to reduce their name to simply Chicago.” I guess in the end, it was shorter and easier to remember.
