DEF: Triumph “Somebody’s Out There”

Toronto-based band Triumph have hit Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart six times, all between 1979 and 1986. Of those six singles, two hit the Top 40 — the band’s first charting single, “Hold On,” which peaked at number 38 in 1979, and the the band’s last charting single, “Somebody’s Out There,” which peaked at number 27 in 1986.

On this date in 1986, “Somebody’s Out There” reached its peak position, where it would spend one week. Today, Triumph’s biggest hit is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
