DEF: The Invisible Man’s Band “All Night Thing”
Chicago-based group The Five Stairsteps made seventeen appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, most successfully with their only Top 10 hit, “O-o-h Child,” which reached number 8 in 1970. In the early 1980s, the group released a couple albums under the name The Invisible Man’s Band, resulting in one more appearance on the Hot 100. On this date in 1980, that song — “All Night Thing” — rose to a peak position of number 45.
