London-based band The Dream Academy appeared on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart twice, with two singles from their 1985 self-titled debut album, both of which reached the Top 40. The band’s biggest hit was their first hit, “Life In A Northern Town,” which exactly 30 years ago, rose to a peak position of number 7, where it would spend two weeks.
