DEF: Tears For Fears “Shout”
Exactly 30 years ago, British band Tears For Fears reached number one for the second time as “Shout” climbed into the top position on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. Not only was “Shout” the band’s second chart-topping hit; it was their second in a row, following a two-week run by “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” just two months earlier. “Shout” would better “Everybody Wants To The World” by staying at number one for three weeks, making it the biggest hit of the band’s career.
“Shout” by Tears For Fears” is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
