DEF: Rush “The Spirit of Radio”

Of Toronto-based band Rush‘s eight appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, six came in the 1980s. The first of those six hits, “The Spirit of Radio,” his one of the band’s most well-known songs in large part because of its memorable opening guitar riff. On this date in 1980, “The Spirit of Radio” climbed to a peak position of number 51. Today, “The Spirit of Radio” by Rush is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
