DEF: Robert Hazard “Escalator Of Life”

Philadelphia-born musician Robert Hazard’s greatest success on Billboard‘s Hot 100 came as the writer for Cyndi Lauper’s number 2 hit “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.” He did, though, also chart once as an artist himself. On this date in 1983, Hazard’s single “Escalator Of Life” reached a peak position of number 58, where it would spend two weeks.
