After finding success with The Cars, Baltimore-born musician Ric Ocasek released his first solo album, Beatitude, in 1982. The album would produce one single that appeared on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, and on this date in 1983, that single — “Something To Grab For” — reached its peak position of number 47, where it would spend two weeks.
