DEF: Patti Austin with James Ingram “Baby, Come to Me”

Of New York City-born singer Patti Austin‘s six songs to appear on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, just one hit the Top 40. However, that lone Top 40 hit — the duet “Baby, Come to Me” that also featured James Ingram — reached number one. Exactly 35 years ago, “Baby, Come to Me” climbed to the top of the chart for a two-week reign.
