Toronto-based duo Kon Kan made two appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, both in 1989. On this date that year, the second of those two songs, “Puss N’ Boots/These Boots (Are Made for Walkin’),” which was built from remade versions of clips of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” and Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’,” climbed to a peak position of number 58.
