From 1980 through 1985, Washington-born musician Kenny Loggins hit the Top 40 with ten straight songs he placed on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. On this date in 1985, the last of those ten hits — “Forever” — squeaked into the Top 40 to keep the streak alive, as it rose to a peak position of number 40, where it would spend one week.
