DEF: John Waite “Tears”

In September of 1984, Lancaster, England-born musician John Waite scored the biggest hit of his career when “Missing You” spent one week at number one on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. Waite also hit the Top 40 with his follow-up single, “Tears.” On this date in 1984, “Tears” climbed to a peak position of number 37, where it would spend two weeks. “Tears” by John Waite is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
