DEF: GTR “When the Heart Rules the Mind”
In 1985, former Genesis member Steve Hackett and former Yes member Steve Howe put together the band GTR. A year later, the band put out a self-titled album that would be their only release. The album spawned two appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, the first of which, “When the Heart Rules the Mind,” reached the Top 40. On this date in 1986, “When the Heart Rules the Mind” climbed to a peak position of number 14. Today, “When the Heart Rules the Mind” by GTR is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
