DEF: General Public “Tenderness”

British band General Public hit the Top 40 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart twice, with a pair of songs nearly a decade apart. The second of those songs was “I’ll Take You There” in 1994, which made its chart run more than nine years after the group’s  first Top 40 hit, “Tenderness,” hit the chart. On this date in 1984, “Tenderness” climbed to a peak position of number 27. Today, “Tenderness” by General Public is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
