DEF: Gene Wilder “Crazy”

As you’ve likely heard by now, actor Gene Wilder passed away on Monday at the age of 83. Wilder is known for many parts, including Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Jim in Blazing Saddles, and Dr. Frankenstein in Young Frankenstein. Many of Wilder’s parts called for him to sing, and in line with that, he sang the theme song “Crazy” that played over the opening credits to the 1980 film Stir Crazy, in which he costarred with Richard Pryor. In memory of Wilder, his “Crazy” is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
