DEF: Five Star “Can’t Wait Another Minute”

London-based group Five Star have hit Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart four times, all in the 1980s. However, none of those four singles hit the Top 40, which, depending on one’s definition, makes Five Star a no-hit wonder. The group came as close as they could get without making it, though, as their highest-charting single, “Can’t Wait Another Minute,” peaked at number 41. On this date in 1986, “Can’t Wait Another Minute” reached that peak position, where it would spend two weeks.

Five Star’s “Can’t Wait Another Minute” is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
