Styx leader singer Dennis DeYoung has hit Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart four times, all in the 1980s, though only his first solo single, “Desert Moon,” hit the Top 40. Exactly 30 years ago, “Desert Moon” reached its peak position of number 10, where it would spend one week.
