DEF: Cher and Peter Cetera “After All”

Heading into the last year of the 1980s, Cher‘s pop music career was in the revitalization process, as she had just hit the Top 20 twice after nine years away from Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. Meanwhile, former Chicago band member Peter Cetera had reached the Top 10 three times in three years, with two of those songs rising to number one. On the heels of this success, the two singers paired up for the song “After All” for the film Chances Are, and on this date in 1989, “After All” climbed to a peak position of number 6. “After All” by Cher and Peter Cetera is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
