Thirty years ago, the album The Animals’ Christmas, with songs written by Jimmy Webb and sung by Art Garfunkel and Amy Grant, backed by the Wimbledon King’s College Boys Choir, was released for Christmas 1986. Over twelve tracks, the album tells the Nativity story through the eyes of animals present for the birth of Jesus. The first track on the album is “The Annunciation,” and that song is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
