David Seville By Another Name
If you’ve watched any version of Alvin and the Chipmunks, you know that their manager is David Seville.  In the original cartoons the man who voiced that character used David Seville as his stage name, but his real name was Ross Bagdasarian, and today would have been his 95th birthday.
Born in California in 1919, Bagdasarian died of a heart attack less than two weeks before his 53rd birthday in 1972. His son, Ross Jr., took over production of the Alvin and the Chipmunks after Bagdasarian’s death, and Ross Jr. has been the producer of the latest round of films revolving around the act.
Above check out the birthday video for Bagdasarian that was posted on YouTube two years ago.
