Birthday of the Week: “Weird Al” Yankovic

This week’s Birthday of the week is “Weird Al” Yankovic. Known for his parodies of hit pop songs as well as his polkas, Yankovic has released fourteen studio albums dating  back to 1983 and has made eleven appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, most successfully with “White & Nerdy,” which reached number 9 in 2006. On Wednesday (October 23), Yankovic turns 60.

To commemorate his milestone, let us know your favorite Weird Al song. For me, a number of songs come to mind, including “The Saga Begins” and “This Is the Life,” but “Word Crimes” is the one that makes me smile the most, and so I have to give it the nod.
