25 Years Ago in the Nineties: Taylor Dayne “Love Will Lead You Back”

New York-born singer Taylor Dayne hit the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart with each of her first seven charting singles, beginning with “Tell It To My Heart” in early 1988 and continuing through “I’ll Be Your Shelter” in mid-1990. She would then go on to hit the Top 20 with her next two songs before her final chart appearance to date — “Send Me A Lover” in 1993 — peaked at number 50.

The biggest of Dayne’s hits is her only number one single, “Love Will Lead You Back.” Exactly 25 years ago, “Love Will Lead You Back” climbed into the top spot for its one-week run.
