25 Years Ago in the Nineties: Duran Duran “Ordinary World”

After hitting the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart nine times in the 1980s, Duran Duran went more than four years at the end of the decade and the beginning of the next one before reaching the Top 10 again. Their return occurred when their 1993 self-titled album produced the band’s final two top 10 hits. Exactly 25 years ago, the first of those two songs, “Ordinary World,” was in its second week of a three-week stay at a peak position of number 3.
