Kentucky-born musician Billy Ray Cyrus has become more known over the past couple of decades as the father of pop star Miley Cyrus. Before that, though, Billy Ray enjoyed his own success as a country act who crossed over a number of times to Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. To date, he has made eight appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, the most successful of which was his only Top 10 hit and his first charting song, “Achy Breaky Heart.” Exactly 25 years ago, “Achy Breaky Heart” was in its second week at a peak position of number 4.
