25 Years Ago in the Nineties: A’Me Lorain “Whole Wide World”

California-born singer A’Me Lorain has appeared on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart twice, with two consecutive singles in 1990. The second of those singles, “Follow My Heartbeat,” peaked at number 72 as a followup to the Top 10 success of her first charting single, “Whole Wide World,” a song from the 1989 film True Love. Exactly 25 years ago, “Whole Wide World” climbed to a peak position of number 9, where it would spend one week.
