25 Year Ago in the Nineties: Michael Jackson “Black or White”
Michael Jackson hit number one on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart seventeen times, including four chart-toppers with the Jackson 5. The biggest among those hits are two songs that spent seven weeks at the top. First, in 1983, the King of Pop spent seven weeks at number one with “Billie Jean.” Then, exactly 25 years ago, in just its third week on the chart his song “Black or White” rose to the pinnacle position for its seven-week run.
