Totally just like Shania Twain under Mutt’s tutelage … which of course sounds just like early 1990s Bryan Adams and Def Leppard. 18 years ago, the sound was new and different (i.e., cool). When Shania first did it, I suppose it had some appeal by bringing it to country (though it never did quite sound right to me). Frankly, this song makes Carrie Underwood sound horrible. She’s a better singer than this.
