Take On Me

Exactly 25 years ago today, Norwegian band a-ha hit the top of Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart with their memorable song “Take On Me.”  Though the band has enjoyed a long string of top 10 hits in Norway, in the United States a-ha only hit the top 40 once more, with “The Sun Always Shines on T.V.” from the same album as “Take On Me”:  Hunting High and Low.  “Take On Me” is also, of course, known for its unforgettable video, which can be seen above.

The band is still making music, and even hit the top 20 this year in Norway, with “Butterfly, Butterfly (The Last Hurrah).”  You can check out more on the band on their official website.
