I ask myself this question every time I crank up a tune I’ve heard hundreds of times before. I know that listening to the same music over and over again involves a physiological breakdown and there are thousand of studies out there on this subject. However, in simplest terms I believe part of the challenge is that there is just not enough time to discover new music. The only way you’ll stay on top of it is unless it’s your profession or your passion. Record executives push the public the tunes they want us to buy and that’s the way it’s always been, until now!

The Internet, video games and the advent of mobile has changed everything because these channels are giving music new exposure. In the years to come, the trend will shift from a static to a dynamic listening pattern. We won’t own CD or mp3s in the future. Our music will be a virtual feed that we will stream on demand. Our music catalog will only live in cyberspace. New music will be hit us everyday, but our favorites will still be in rotation. Music will always take us to a special place and make us feel comfortable. Tunesmate’s mission is to introduce you to new artists and forgotten classics because there just isn’t enough time in the day to keep up with new music.
